I hope you are doing well and growing daily in your relationship with God through Jesus. He desires an intimate relationship with each of us. Our new logo and theme indicate that we celebrate forward movement in Jesus Christ…thus, we have the C and an arrow as our new logo. Are you experiencing spiritual momentum in your life at the moment?
Momentum is defined as “force or speed of movement; impetus.”
Do I Love My Church?
Have you ever known someone who says they love you, but everything they do says other-wise. Maybe someone pledged child support, but didn’t come through. Someone promised to be there “in sickness and in health,” and they bolted at the first sign of ill-health. Maybe your adult children say they love you, but they never come around, except when they need something.
You can say that you love God and His Church all that you want, but as your mama used to say, “The proof is in the pudding.” We celebrate what we love. We give to what we worship. We hang out with the people we really enjoy.
SPEAK UP about JESUS this week…invite someone to church
Happy Monday Celebrators! I hope you all got some rest over the weekend, took in some spiritual food, and now are ready to SPEAK UP for Jesus this week. I am praying for boldness for myself, and for all of you, that we all will use our tongues as ambassadors for Jesus, and share the good news everywhere we go. Remember that because… “Life and death are in the power of the tongue,” I will not SPEAK DOWN about people, but I will SPEAK UP about Jesus.
This week, you can all use an extra incentive to get folks to come to church…a FREE T-SHIRT with our new logo and core values on it. Everyone who comes will receive one, and first time guests also get a cup, a pen, and a decal. These may seem simple, but hey, anyway we can get people in the door to hear about Jesus, we will use it. The apostle Paul said that he was willing to use any means possible to tell folks the good news.
Whazzup Celebrators? How was your week? I trust it was great!
Thanks for your overwhelming response to our “reveal” last weekend! We had great attendance, offering, feedback, and enthusiasm. Enthusiasm actually means “God in you.” That is our desire for each of us…that God will be in us, and that we will experience life-change in Jesus. This will happen as each of us GROW UP in knowing Jesus, SPEAK UP about Jesus, and STEP UP in serving Jesus.
Do You Love Your Church?
Do you love your church? You’ve probably heard that love is an action. So what does loving your church look like? What actions will demonstrate that I love my church not only to the people who make up the church, but to those who are around us every day?
Over the next three weeks we will look to the Scriptures for answers. In fact, we are so convinced about what the Bible says about this that we have adopted these three biblical principles as our CORE VALUES here at Celebration.
